Change music quality
No matter if you turn on 'premium' sound for Spotify, the app for Windows 10 sound quality is terrible. There is no change if you toggle the sound quality, never was. This is still an issue that is convenently overlooked and shrugged off by Spotify. The app for Windows 10 is noticibly poorer quality, sounding muffled. Listen to music the way it's meant to be heard by turning sound quality up, or save your data usage by turning it down. On mobile, you can fine tune even further with the equalizer. And, if you have Premium, you choose whether or not to balance volume levels, and make them generally louder or quieter.
Turn music quality up to hear the finer details or turn it down to save data.
Note: You can’t change audio settings when using Spotify Connect to play on another device.
You can have different settings for listening online (streaming quality) or offline (download quality).
Higher streaming quality uses more data, and higher download quality uses more space.
